In this video 'Input Power Waveforms with Active Power Factor Correction', I'll show the input power waveforms of an Active Power Factor Correction (PFC). It will show the current is more sinusoidal than pulsing current found in a typical transformer bulk capacitor power supply. #PFC, #Active Power Factor Correction, #differential probe, #DP750-100, #CP2100B, #current probe

Great series. Looking forward to the noise spectrum. I have some prejudices there regarding HF switchers :-)

I like this stuff. Go long form if you have to man. I think you should do a live stream where you rant and show us all the stuff you had in storage. Live is easy with 2 cameras, Google it. Hahaha. I like the Amazon idea or the tek would be cool. But that four chan should make the trip with whatever you choose. It's a win win.

im from sri lanka. According to the current state of our country, buying a multimeter is like a dream. I am now collecting money to buy an aneng Q1. aneng Q1 is the multimeter good? How accurate is it? My friends say Aneng an113B is also good. Which of these two is better?

It would be great if you do go on to make a class A amp with an efficient clean smps
Something I want to do myself at some point .
Go for it !

I am convinced this better, also Convinced, if you go to a Audio HIFI DIY And you proposes a project class A or AB amp with this !! then there is power spike , servers going down and you have a ban for life 😂. I, am intended to build a small amp 6BQ5 PP UL with a cheap Alie SMPS, wonder if there is change in sound with a Transformer, GZ34 Rectifier tube, and 2 capacitor, s and a choke between

We can't hear anything about over 20k. Mr Nyquist worked all this stuff out. I wonder if audiofools know that their favorite record was recorded with $15 dollar cables ( usually made in-house).

A FLIR-branded moldymeder? Whiskey tango foxtrot?! FLIR is an acronym for Forward-Looking InfraRed. Anything other than their thermal imaging cameras should be marketed under either Teledyne or LeCroy. I'd wager the LeCroy name on a DMM would make a lot of engineers moist.

The two things that makes the most difference in sound and the speakers (not the enclosure) and your room. That thousand dollar cable isn't going to do a coitus engaged thing, but changing your speaker placement makes a difference even my mom can hear. Spend a few grand on acoustic treatment. Cables for RF stuff really do need to be good and what's the most you ever paid for one of those. Yes, there are a lot of superstitions around audio and some of them are true, like never use mugami cables on any fifth Friday, but 99.99% is utter bovine waste.

I tried to explain this to a computer guy talking about computer power supplies - he thought PFC was just a capacitor.

You're really saying that an acceptable cable costs more than a faraday cage? </rant>
