That knob you were not sure of is for adjusting blade tracking. The re-saw guide is used to help compensate for blade drift - allowing you to slightly pivot the workpiece one way or another to stay true to your cut line. You have nice tools. I'm very jealous!! You also have nice vids. I enjoy watching them.

It's great to know it's been working well for you. PM is offering 15% off on all tools and accessories so I'm about to pull the trigger on a PM1800. Have you tried a smaller blade on the saw? Like a 1/4 inch or 1/8th inch? Some guys were reporting problems with the lower blade guide not ling up correctly and being difficult to adjust.

Which version of the shopfox mobile base is that? I'm looking for a mobile base for a big planer. Does it have steel wheels?

Hi. Thanks for the video and report. I'm considering the purchase of this saw. Are you still happy with the performance? Any problems with it? It's either this or a 19 inch Grizzly. I'm having trouble justifying the additional cash for the Powermatic though.

This saw beats the Minimax 20 by far in features and quality. It is a very solid very nice saw. The Minimax is VERY basic compared to this yet everything you read is guys saying Minimax is the best hands down. The thing is all these guys have no actual experience actually looking at AND USING this Powermatic saw. I made the mistake of buying Minimax.
