EnGenius EMR3500 & EMR5000 Mesh Routers

Hi, could you give me an advice? I have 3 units of EMR5000 and try to create a mesh network by using wired connection since the range is too far and the signal is too weak. I plug the master router's WAN port (which is the first device) to the modem and the LAN port to the switch and the other 2 devices are connected also to the same switch using the LAN port. But the add device process always detect the connection as a wireless connection and the diagram showed that they are connected via wireless not wired. Did I miss something in the set up?
