Fujifilm GFX 50Sii review from a APSC user

If you're anything like me I'm sure you have thought to yourself what is the deal with those big medium format cameras? After all the GFX series is the true flagship of the fujifilm camera line. I took out the GFX 50S ii to paris with me and what I learned is that the camera is not for me as I'm a video kind of guy and this is really meant for high end photography. I'm happy I had the chance to play around with this camera and se first hand what the medium format system is all about. I will say I'm truly impressed by the image quality of this system.

I found this camera online with a kit lens for 2799; I had no business buying it, but super happy I did. The IQ and overall depth is immense.

Don’t see why I would ”ditch” my X camera for GFX. I got it as a complement for when I do architecture, landscape and some portraits. I use the X for travel and walk around.

Glad to hear your enthusiasm. Totally understandable! I own 3 x GFX 50's 2 X 50s's and a 50sll. I love the output even more than the 102 MP version.

I own the GFX 50s mk2, the camera is incredible. The images are insane. The only downside is the speed, for that I use the Nikon D850. Thanks, great video.

I’ve been saving up for this for a while and it’s on sale with or without the kit lens. I think this will be a great complement to my D500 for anything outside of wildlife, sports and action shots.

You could try just the GFX 100 II, which has become a hybrid for both photography and filming and is a faster camera.
You could even try and make a video of it comparing it to the GFX 50 S II.

I have seen videos of one person who has already started to make a professional camera out of the GFX 100 II so that he doesn't have to borrow typical film cameras.

This VIDEO is right up my ALLEY, i shoot with an X-PRO3 AND THE XT5, I have been interested in this cam to put my HASSELBLAD MEDIUM FORMAT 80mm 2.8 lens to it using the FUJI H to G Adapter. Thank You for this video. Can you shoot BW IN camera? Thanks in advance.
