My dad suffered his first heat attack when I was 13. My mom called me every day from the hospital telling me how to cook dinner for my siblings, that's how I learned how to cook, over the phone.

My grandmother was one of the greatest cooks I've known and she was from the Deep South and when she gave recipe advice it was always "a pinch of this" & "a dash of that" lol she would get mad if we had her write down. Now we're all grateful for those recipes since her passing. Like a piece of family history.

That’s so true!!, in 2019 she was interviewed on tv for thanksgiving cooking a turkey, she said how she brined the meat and what seasonings to put outside, this was the best turkey I’ve done ever and since then every time it’s just delicious 😋 💯
