When I first saw this my mind just broke. I wasn't expecting Yoda to appear in the movie. Heck I never even heard that they got Frank Oz in the movie which would've alerted me that Yoda was going to be in the movie. This scene came out of nowhere.

You know... If Force ghosts can call down lightning from the skies at will to blow up things, it makes you wonder why Yoda and co. can't just blow up Kylo Ren and the First Order. Sure would save trillions of lives.

"Troll you, Yoda will." The books weren't even in there. Unless I hallucinated I'm pretty sure there was a scene where Finn opens a drawer on the Falcon and the Jedi texts are in it. Looks like Mary Sue ganked them before she left the island.

Either they got back to the puppet or the CGI is just fucking horrible. Either way, the CG'd Yoda from the prequels looked much better.

Didn't like the movie, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't strongly affected by seeing the puppet Yoda and hearing that reprise of the Yoda leitmotif from the OT

Again, they fucked up what could have a moment Yoda brings new focus to Luke. Hell, this could have been the moment they both admitted Rey was Luke’s kid and was pulling Obi-won making it out like Rey’s parent were a pair of random drunks. Hell, he and Mara Jade(?) could have turned to alcoholism after Kylo trashed the Jedi academy and dumped her off before going to get blasted on green milk til they died. Brings up that ending in TFA where it looks like he’s standing at a grave. Why wasn’t it a grave of someone Luke gave a damn about, like a wife?
