Sad that this is their plan. The towers are iconic.

Leave the ren cen alone. It’s an iconic piece of Detroit history.

It's the jewel of the city skyline because of the 4 surrounding towers.

There is plenty of space without destroying the skyline

Why don't they actually invest in making Hart Plaza more of a destination? there are acres of parking lots to the east of the rencen that they have done absolutely nothing with. There is so much land around the rencen just being used for surface level parking that makes me not believe any of these renderings will look this way they will without a doubt claim they have to add a few parking garages and then we are left with some non-green river front that's just a concrete mess.

Hope they come up with at least a few other ideas/plans, this could not be the only choice to pick from.

The city needs more of a skyline. Not taking it away.

You’re going to knock down two 40 story buildings? Some renaissance. If the city wasn’t still in decline that would never make sense.

No, don't do it. Leave the RenCen alone, you'll ruin the skyline.

I have an idea. Put affordable housing in those towers being considered for demolition, or put a new school of computer science there since those towers were already associated with holding the computer hardware of GM.

It sticks out even worse with this design

They need to do more in that area if they plan on tearing down a part of Detroit history. Do they have a plan with business owners to come to the new area? Do they have a plan for consistent entertainment to bring people to the area. Let’s not just half ass it to bolster someones pockets. Let’s actually make it something worth coming to.

Stop making every single building "HOUSING". Maybe revamp some of those burnt-out, vacant neighborhoods. Do something with these buildings that everyone can enjoy.

Bedrock needs to focus on Monroe Blocks and the Gratiot site first.

I love how they say the money from taxpayers is public support.

This was the idea that came to my mind when I first heard about GM moving out … hopefully those to restaurants will be part of the new reconfiguration…. But as someone said in this report this rendition is rather underwhelming… I wound suggest incorporating lower rise condos and more public green space not concrete space as in similar to hart plaza as the restaurant owner alluded to

As a Chicagoan, I like it. The Open Air Space Makes The Lake look More Appealing.

What is knocking down two towers going to do if you can still build the rest of the new towers. That park space can be placed where the new towers are supposed to be placed that aren't built.

Oh trust and believe that Joe Muer Seafood and Andiamo will be given a new location with a decade of free rent as part of the deal.
