August Composing Competition! | Tabletop Music Comp

It's time for another composing Cometition!

In this competition, you will be given a short description of an emotion/scene, and judged on how well your music captures the mood/vibe. All genres and styles are welcome!

Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 submissions:
🥇1st Place = Two Free E-books (from my website) + 1 Free Private Lesson
🥈2nd Place = Two Free E-books (from my website)
🥉3rd Place = One Free E-book (from my website)

🎹 The Prompt for this month's competition is: "The battle is going badly, when suddenly reinforcements arrive and help turn the tide!"

Submissions will be graded on the following (ranked from most to least important):
1. How effectively does the music capture the mood/vibe of the prompt?
2. Compositional craft (Overall quality of the melody, arrangement, etc.)
3. Creative Use of Musical Gestures (How interesting/original is your use of music, for the vibe?)
4. Mix Quality (Used mostly as a tie-breaker, as needed)

📢Directions for participating are below, read through them carefully so you don't accidentally disqualify yourself!

1. Make sure you're subscribed to this YouTube Channel! (Only subscribers will have their music reviewed)
2. Compose a short piece of music that captures the mood/vibe of the prompt (maximum of 90 seconds long).
3. Upload your music to YOUTUBE and tag @TableTopComposer and/or use #tabletopmusiccomp to help me find your video.
4. In the description of your video, write a short description of the different strategies you used to portray the prompt with your music (help me understand your approach/thought process!)

📅 All submissions must be submitted by the end of August 19th to be eligible for consideration.

🏆 Winners will (tentatively) be announced on August 23rd

I want to enter even though I won last time because it’s so fun. I could already picture a scene and the score to go with it when I heard the prompt.

It might be a good idea to link the video with the results of the first competition so we can check what we're up against 🙂 I had a bit of trouble finding it on the channel, since the title do not actually contain the full word "competition". Or even create a playlist for the compos.
