At least 81 people have died from the coronavirus, and CCTV reports China's capital Beijing had its first death related to the virus as well. Dr. Mehmet Oz joins Yahoo Finance’s Zack Guzman, Brian Cheung and Radio Show Host Ben Kissel on YFi PM to discuss how Americans can protect themselves and weighs in on misinformation about the virus spreading online.

What about all of the people who came into contact with the 5 people that came to America? With a 14 day incubation period they could have already been exposed to a lot of other people in a busy airport. This thing is going to spread like crazy.

• You should be concerned about theses kinds of things, especially new viruses
• You should take precautions
• You should stay home if you're sick
• You should wash your hands with water and soap

• You should NOT freak-the-fvck-out
• You should NOT use anti-bacterial hand wash like someone with OCD
• You should NOT take advice from a radio-host on medical matters

As a foreigner living in China, I actually think we should be quite concerned by this. By the time the Spring Festival holiday ends, there’s going to be a huge amount of new cases. I think the cat is out of the bag and it’s only a matter of time before it breaks out in America. A 2% mortality rate is a lot when you’re applying it to millions of people.
