Ring Floodlight Cam vs Spotlight Camera - Comparing Light Output, Features and Settings

Today, we are going to do a comparison video between the Ring's Spotlight cam and the Floodlight camera. I decided to do a comparison between these 2 security cameras from Ring when the Spotlight Cam mount version came out. So, now these 2 cameras have the same mounting option...which is on a junction box...either a wall mount or a ceiling mount.

I have the ring spotlight cam with the cute little solar panel (optional) that trickle charges the cam. I never have to touch it! Love it. Hated it without the solar! Spotlight gives me the perfect amount of light for my short driveway! Best purchase ever. And I can talk to people without going outside.

Thanks for the review, I recently bought the flood light camera and noticed that my previous flood light mounted on ceiling, not on wall. I was about to freak out and returned...but saw your video mounted on ceiling so I’m glad you made this video!!

Great video. FYI I use the spotlight cam mount at my doors instead of porch lights. The lights are too bright when on full power, that is why ring put the dimmer on there. In your video you said you didn't know why anyone would use that. I would like to have seen you zoom each of them because the comparison chart that they have on Amazon says that the spotlight cam can't zoom, but I know it can because I have one. Thanks!

I have solar spots and love them. They are completely contemporary, and in full color with the lights on. The Spots do have less lumen, but they are limited by not being hardwired, which is my choice. To say I love them would be an understatement. I intend to bridge some of their lights soon, for more coverage. Great video, great products.
