Castle didn't look as upset as Kate, because he was convinced 3xk was alive. Kate was equally sure he was dead, and with the song "We'll meet again, don't know where, don't know when, " the threat is there, and they both now know that he will come back. Brilliant ending to the episode.

I think this is one of the best endscenes from Castle. It is beautiful. Thank you David Aman and Rob Bowman for such a great episode, it's been the best of the season.

I really love this episode, this part of the episode gave me shivers. You could tell the fear in Kate's eyes when the song started to play, the fear you feel yourself. I really love this character 3XK it really reminds me of The Joker, that's all I think about. 3XK is the Joker to Castle.

Oh whoa, rewatching this again, her reaction. She stops dead in her tracks and, i can only imagiine, her head just became lightheaded immediately, as she takes another step, she flinches as if she is about to almost fall down.

I still get chills with this episode.

What's also telling from that message is that because 3XK's records are now gone, and he has a clean slate (possibly changed appearance, plastic surgeon girlfriend) he can just disappear and start killing. But he left that message just for Castle because he knows no matter what he does to stay hidden the ONLY person smart enough to come close to catching him is Castle.

I think next time we see 3XK it won't be the same "oh someone is murdered, let's solve it, oh shit it's 3XK". I think he finally goes for the kill with Castle, but luring him by using Kate or Alexis. 

Also Castle knew he wasn't dead, that's why Kate looked so shocked and well he didn't. Castle vs 3XK all over again, battle of wits.

What is the true meaning of 3XK - Three times to meet Kate, Three times to attempt to Kill the duo.  The number 3 seems to be significant for example, during Ryan's wedding Beckett told Castle " who knows three 3 times is a charm", next time 3XK meets the duo will be their third time....Something to ponder.

You guys can call me stupid, but when I saw the ending the first time, I thought Kate was one of 3KX's patients that had been changed into her, and that she was about to hurt Castle.

I think that kate is almost in tears because she knows that castle has a bad history with 3xk and she knows that he wants revenge on castle for ruining his plan that took him 4 years so to get back at him he murdered 2 people that looked like lannie and esposito (people that are close to him) and in the episode probable cause 3xk gets all of castles friends to turn against him by setting him up and making it look like he murdered that girl. So 3xk is just getting started ruining castles life just a warning of whats to come. And kate and castle both know that the department thinks that 3xk is dead. So if they went to the cops they would think they both are crazy. And worst of all they know he is out there and he has a clean slate and can kill allover again without the detectives on his case. But all of this is about 3xk getting to castle and once hes dead, kate will have to live the rest of her life knowing that she couldnt stop it, and she would also have to live with the fact that her lover is dead. So by killing castle 3xk will ruin 3 peoples lives, Kate's, alexis's and castles mom's. 3 lives 3xk it all makes sense now... But this is just my theory
