THE TYPE B TEACHER

I always loved these teachers. As a child at a school where it felt forbidden to make mistakes I loved when my teachers seemed more human and didn't critique every single thing, didn't focus on the lessons and only the lessons but actually talked to the students. I mean I always have a respect for those teachers that do manage to have everything together at every moment but it was nice to see a teacher who didn't seem so scripted and coded to do everything perfectly.

Yeah. I have adhd and this is an accurate portrayal. Thankfully students and staff still adore me. 😂

The last two years of my 34th years of my career, I became a type B teacher. At that point, I was exhausted, and quite over the stress of trying to be overly prepared and perfect. I arrived to school on time, and left the building at dismissal. The last two years were the best two years of my teaching career.
