22 seconds into the video a woman admits she wants to live on the streets because she doesn't have to follow any rules. Kudos to the videographer because the image displayed immediately before this admission is of a used needle thrown on the ground by the tents. The camps are irresistible to someone suffering from addiction for 2 reasons. #1 The camps provide the perfect supply chain for low cost meth and fentanyl. #2 The camps will tolerate the violent behavior of amped up meth addicts who would get evicted from even a subsidized apartment. The root cause of our homeless crisis is addiction and not high rent.

That's not how this should work. It's one thing if they can't or are struggling to get back on their feet but it's a completely other issue if they choose to live like this and that's not ok. W3 pay our taxes and they take advantage of this. Everyone should pay their way. They shouldn't let them just live in our streets Infront of our home that we pay for

Great! A new plan! Of course it will take everyone working together...well, all the taxpayers working together - by paying more. Fortunately SF ($700M) and LA ($1.3B) have shown how massive amounts of homeless spending (10% of their entire LA budget) can actually be used to...well, whatever it's used for it certainly isn't solving homelessness!

'drafted a new ordinance', the last one was virtually a blessing for bums behavior, god only knows how mushy this one will be.
gotta have judges' names and addresses so they too will be subject to just what Sen. Schumer (D) advocated when a court decision did not go his way and here were his words:

“I want to tell you Gorsuch. I want to tell you Kavanaugh. You have released the whirlwind and you will pay the price. You won’t know what hit you if you go forward with these awful decisions.”

now it's simply a matter of removing the above judges' names and inserting county judges' names...

The mayor thinks that the audience is filled with idiots. An injunction isn't a final decision about whether the law is constitutional, so the city won't get a full explanation about why the law is unconstitutional since that's what the court case is there to decide, and the injunction is just the beginning of the court case, not the end. The city's lawyers would have told him that.

What exactly are you offering, mayor? Speaking of the courts hardly being able to put sentences together have you listened to yourself lately? it's no wonder this is the only time you seen the mayor speaking in public. He's terrible at it as matter fact, he's terrible and a lot of things including his job.

You had to pick one of the worst-looking homeless people to interview. You could have chosen one that actually got pushed out on the streets through no fault of their own, and can’t make enough money to get another place. Only a third of the homeless population shares her opinion.
This is demonizing the homeless for no good reason but to make the mayor look good.

What should have been done long time ago was to not let new money start moving into the city and gentrify the place. That’s one of the real reasons there’s a bad homeless problem here. People can’t afford to live here anymore. Because of greed and materialism, Portland’s character has been erased. But who in city government is going to take responsibility for that?
