This and the 8" are exactly the sounds i've been looking for, everything else on my kit is 2002's and Rude's.

Brass is not all bad. Brass is good for real short sustain and no wash accents. I got a new 22 inch Meinl HCS brass ride . It is actually surprisingly musical. For $105 brand new, it was a great deal. I wanted a brass ride because I want stick definition on ride patterns. I 'm not gonna crash it and I didn't want all the endless ringing. Only problem with it is I am not used to the size of a 22" ride. It looks awkwardly large to me. I wish I got the 20", but the 22 sounds a bit louder and warmer. If you want a powerful ride and don't mind the size...get it. It is well worth the $105! I would probably get the bronze crashes though. Crashes need a bit more sustain. Brass is good for clarity and quick decay, but probably most of your cymbals should be bronze. The brass HCS rides are surprisingly descent. I see a lot of people like the HCS brass hi hats too.

Super sound and super price too. Far better than many other superb models.

I purchased the 8 and 10 HCS... they DONT sound good! 😂, even for stacks... no high end clarity or sustain! Trust me! I have videos in a stack and separate.. NOPE! Wuhan splashes are better! Affordable AND nice high end clarity. 👍
