In the Line of Fire (1993)

Secret Service agent Frank Horrigan (Clint Eastwood) couldn't save Kennedy, but he's determined not to let a clever assassin take out this president.

Probably THE BODYGUARD (one year earlier) stole IN THE LINE OF FIRE'S thunder, but I liked this film, one of the aging Eastwood's better offerings among many duds.
I'm also not ashamed to admit that I liked THE ROOKIE although ABSOLUTE POWER (another political thriller) was better to me.

Clint was good (He usually is) but John M steals the show. Agree this has become a underrated under discussed gem of a film with very good acting and 1 show stealing performance. As usual @Screen Stars thank you for taking the time to script edit and upload these :) the time is appreciated.

Another great film starring Clint Eastwood, just when thought the man was slowing down & he wouldn’t be featured in great films as much, wow ! I was proved wrong & I’ve never doubted Eastwood again, & to this day he’s maintained his star power as a actor & a superb director.
Only seen “In the line of fire” once & on purpose have prevented in watching this classic too often. due a watch I reckon 😎excellent review Aaran 👍😎

It was a wise decision here to have Eastwood doing a much older world wiery philosophical character
instead of some geriatric...Dirty harry, there are so many layers to this political thriller, very much a sit down on a sunday evening with tea and biscuits & indulge kind of a film away from any distractions (or you'd miss the many subtle clues) also it was rarely predictable, as already so many action thrillers had become by the 90s
