The vein in my left arm is so prominent, that whenever I've had blood drawn, it's been commented on.
So I got a tattoo that says, "I make phlebotomists swoon" on my bicep right above it. You can bet your ass that I checked and rechecked that spelling a hundred times. My husband, my artist, and I all looked it up before the stencil was made, after it was made, after it was applied, and once more for good measure RIGHT before the artist turned on his machine.
You want ANYTHING with words, even your own name, you need to be DILIGENT about checking that shit.

My favorite thing about dumb tattoos is imagining that person being discovered in a dig site centuries from now, the scientists put their body in an mri machine to try and see the design, and then an expert in the language has to explain to everyone present that the tattoo says "MOM FART"

For the Pisces tattoo, she could easily just have her artist shade one of the fishies black and then make them yin and yang koi. Seems like an easy fix.

There was a guy on my first ship, his last name was Self and on his forearms he had “self made” tattooed. I’m gonna be honest, probably one of the funniest tattoos I’ve ever seen

I think the teapot/washing machine one is kind of like antihumour. Like we (or at least I) find it so funny because there's just such a lack of humour, but in a humorous way

My freind purposely had the chicken soup in Chinese tattooed on the back of his neck. He said he's seen so many people saying there Chinese writing tattoos mean something when it was actually something else. He spent months making sure it was chicken soup he was going to get tattooed. His artist thought it was funny

The point is that you can't understand either tattoo without referencing the other. Anytime someone sees the teapot, they will ask why it says washing machine, and thus, you are referencing your best friend forever. It's self explanatory.

The only tattoo my husband (an electronic technician) has ever wanted is the power symbol (the circle with a line [represents a 0 and 1]) done in the bioluminescent ink so that it is only visible under a black light. He thinks it would be funny. Not gonna lie, so do I.

I got inked in Madarin, 24 years ago it was the all the rage; my friend from Hong Kong wrote it for the artist. It indeed is the right characters. Random people still tell me "You can't really know what that is." 🙄

My best friends' surname is Ainge which is fairly common in the UK and I once painted a portrait of her that used the word Aingel in the title so it may be a case that the dad's aingel is a similar thing.

My dad got a tattoo of his zodiac sign when he was a kid. He thought it was stupid that his friends were getting their partners names tattooed as teenagers. He wanted to get something he knew would never change. Today all those couples are still together and the zodiac signs changed…
