It worked out well, he was wwf champion for a year and it made him a good wrestler.

Is there a full postcast somewhere? besides all these small ones? i can listen to ted all day long. The two best gimmicks ever are the undertaker and the million dollar man in my opinion.

Problem was when Kevin was champion back in 95 the WWF was struggling Bret and Shawn struggled to draw as champs back then aswell the company as a whole was struggling to draw fans in

Where does Marcus do the podcast from? Seems like a cool room.

Learning experience for kevin.. he got better and bigger afterwards. Diesel was growing into da guy... jus like how roman reigns was gettin da push n no likes for him and wasn't guy yet and look at roman now..

It’s hard for Ted to answer that question honestly, without offending anyone

Nothing against Diesel/Kevin Nash, but in '94 Lex Luger probably deserved to be champion.

Kevin was booked terribly. He looked intimidating and cool, and yet WWF at the time booked him as a generic nice guy. That killed him.

Nash did what he coud as champion people shouldn't hold it against him for business being down at the time

If Kevin was such a bad draw why when he and Scott Hall showed up in WCW was it such a big deal when they turned up in WCW?

nash held the title for over a year. that was quite a feat for the time. not many guys could say that in the 90s.

Funny thing is alot of people tuned out by 95 or just wernt watching wrestling at all. And now the ones who tuned out or ones who never watched in the first place think they know most about 95 and what should have happened. Most are people who werent even born in 95

I wouldn't of had Shawn as champ in 95, he was still in the ic title era

In retrospect, Shawn or Bret were the right guys, but the list of guys from 95 and how Vince viewed them:

Sid: He's basically Diesel, but less reliable, bad promos.

Bret/Shawn: Too small.

Undertaker: Doesn't need a belt to get over.

Hall: Not reliable.

Based on the information available, Diesel makes the most sense.
