How is Google Public DNS data used?

Is Google public DNS tracking all the website we visit while using it? Google is gonna get heck a lot of data. Remiz Rahnas, Kerala, India

Google cares what you seek, not dns or domain name server asks keep it for 24 - 48 hours as they tell this is public dns service. Meaning they care to keep internet public place so user can decide its wrong or trusted information on web. I see web pages like tv channels each has readers and comments from users, but users care to read trusted information so we do.

If somebody were to get a hold of it, they would have all that info given to the DNS service, and can sell it for whatever reason.

Given that Google has policies for these things, no need to worry about it unless some hacker was really after what type of sites you liked to be on.

I read through the privacy policy of Windows 10 when they initially offered it for free when I bought a computer with windows 8.  It said you agree to allowing sharing of your info of not only all your own info including pictures but also of those of your friends.  It was so long a statement, I"m sure most people just hit "accept".  As far as I can see, if you own a computer, nothing can be assumed to be private for anyone; does anyone really believe corporate or policitical promises will be kept anymore?

I switched my DNS server settings to Public DNS a while back. There isn't a noticeable difference. (Tested from Win 7 and Ubuntu 10.04)

So it is actually storing the info in an encrypted form. Isn't it?
