Not only was her child missing, but she had to hear that her step son hates her daughter. That’s one major set up for post partum depression and anxiety.

The nurse was having absent seizures, and was basically on autopilot. So she accidentally took the baby.

Absence seizures are scary, I spent 24 years not knowing I had epilepsy. I was diagnosed a few weeks ago and everything in my life clicked. I thought people were lying to me and gaslighting me when they'd tell me that I would just zone out and not remember anything from that time, they'd get mad at me thinking I was lying. The scariest time as a teen, I was about to walk across a bridge with my bike and the last thing I remember was seeing my dad cross the bridge and me getting scared. Then I snap back to reality and see him running towards me angry asking why I've just been standing there for like 10 mins not moving, I thought it had been like 10 seconds. I was so scared and thought he was lying, and he thought I was.

My L&D department basically put airtags on all the babies while they were there and every nurse's badge was an official pink. The air tags would go off and lock down the whole floor if it got to close to an exit as well

Our maternity cots are alarmed in the UK. Once the weight of the baby is lifted off the cot the alarm goes off. Only the mum has the key to switch it off and the baby doesn't leave mum unless there's a good medical reason.

Our L&D puts alarms on the baby. Not that I needed one. I could hardly sleep in the hospital and I'm a light sleeper as it is. I just pumped milk, fed and changed baby, snuggled and loved on baby, cat-napped when possible, hydrated because I lost so much blood, and focused on getting ready to go home.
If either baby had a weigh-in, blood work, or other testing, I went with. My babies never left my sight from the minute I birthed them both.

Me, too. I would love a Dr. like House or Shaun. Maybe the could tell me diagnose me! All the other doctors I have seen have done nothing, but throw meds & physical therapy at me!

Maaaan....i cant even IMAGINE the amount of panic that mess would cause me!😭

Feel so bad for the nurse. When I first started having seizures I’d do all sorts like putting things in strange places, going wondering in the middle of the night. Sad times.

The hospital where I live everything is done in the same room so the baby never leaves the mother's room. Security cameras are pointing at each door of every room and can be viewed at the nurses station. Anytime the door opens it beeps to let them know someone entered. Much like others have commented the band on the babies leg has an airport in it. They took all these precautions after a woman tried to steal another woman's baby. Fortunately the woman woke up screaming and Security caught the woman in the hallway.

This is why every time my nieces and nephews left the room a family member mostly my mom and dad went with the. If this was real they would have called a code Pink and the hospital would be on emergency lock down and everyone available would be looking for the child who would also have a GPS Chip on her bracelet which would be put on after birth.

This is such a common thing for actual baby theft that when i gave birth at my hospital they literally keep a tag on my babys ankle and only specified nurses to my room have his matching band and even then theres steict precautions

Yep this shit is scary as hell when you dont know what's going on with your body. My neurologist fondly called them walking silent seizures I've walked into traffic and hid massive amounts of money from my til behind packs of cigarettes not fun didn't get diagnosed til I was 26

It's hard for a show to make me hold my breath like this. When they showed that baby alive and well I felt like I could breath again. I'm not even a mom yet, not even dating or planning on becoming a mom yet, but the idea of a baby being in danger around me terrifies me.
