Solarpunk is a dream, is a speculation, a science fiction - yet, it's a possible future. It's not retrofuturism, but instead a vision of how can we get there, to a better world. It is in our power to change the way we live, to think different, to abolish any kind of domination between ourselves and above nature. We have all the means to build a new kind of society: compassionate, ecological, inclusive for all cultures and identities, decentralized and free of political manipulation. Hi-tech may and should co-exist with the biosphere and we have the most powerful source of energy for that - our Sun. Let it shine our way as we look into the future!

Pessimistic beliefs about the fate of our world are a dangerous luxury. Now is not the time to slip into stagnation and apathy. We must do what is difficult, and remain optimistic in spite of the immense challenges ahead. I thank these artists for making the present a brighter place.

This is what the world needs. I remember back when I was a kid and the internet used to be a massive expanse of freedom and positively. The world was reborn with new hope in the technological connected future.

Nowadays its easy to be pessimistic abour the future because it is the general trend. But this music reminds me of that feeling. The feeling of hope towards our interconnected future.

I saw a few pessimistic people in the comments, saying that a solarpunk future is unachievable and utopian. Well to these people I say this: It is your very complacency to the current state of things, your pessimism that makes this future not possible. Daring to dream about a better world is itself already a revolutionary action, but it's not through pessimism and dismissal of our collective power that we'll achieve anything.

I remember when this first dropped in 2021. In the midst of the absolute clusterfuck that was 2020 and 2021 came this little playlist all about optimism and hope. Was quite a breath of fresh air and even to this day it's one of my favorite playlists on YouTube.

That "microwave at 3 in the morning" ambiance at around the 45 47 ish bit is surprisingly zen in that "white noise washing away the bad thoughts" kinda way.

Now THIS is a masterpiece of ambient music! And one of the best collaborative albums I’ve heard, right up there with Thank You For Holding. The way it all flows as one conceptual piece is super cool and gives it a prog vibe. Amazing!
