It was to be a new beginning for Jamal Khashoggi - a new wife, a new home, and a new country.

But Turkey was where he died, an exiled journalist who dared to question an authoritarian leader.

His death in the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul could so easily have been missed or even forgotten had it not been for the secret audio recordings from the scene.

Al Jazeera’s Tony Birtley reports.

It was worth every day of door to door campaigning for the Blue to know the Dems will look into this crime.

Can I play Devil's advocate ?
Let's imagine Khashoggi was Muslim Brotherhood
and imagine MBS is actually hardly interested in Islam at all
(a contention I've long maintained),
well then was it such a bad thing (aside from the inhumanity of it).
What I mean is Khashoggi was more Islamist than MBS so shouldn't the West
always side with the least Islamist party ?
