I'm so glad I came back to RS to see its best update in years, followed extremely quickly by its worst update.

Cosmetics are fine. Paying for combat buffs aren’t. If Fortnite or Valerint or Apex made a “take 20% less dmg” buff, communities would lose their minds🤣

I am quite unhappy. I've seen other people on YouTube calculate that its 500 hours to complete the whole thing without spendign money.

For reference, a full time job is 2000 hours per year or 500 hours every 3 months. Were they really thinking people would spend the equivilant of a full-time job doing RS to unlock the track?

I'm most annoyed that they automatically used up our yak skips. I save them by grinding skill and kill for hours. If we at least had the option to use them 99 or a season, we were going to play would be less bad. When I logged in, it used up all my Yak Track and Challenge skip tokens, and I shot up to level 45. I have a screen cap if anyone doesn't believe you could go that far ahead from just things I've been saving.

I enjoyed watching that number grow, and it all got squandered on a season I know I'll never complete.

I'm a new player, only a couple of months in. Was attracted to the game as it seemed hard but fair with no obvious P2W element that I knew of... I'm nowhere near ready to PVM yet, but when and if I get there I'd like it to be on merit and hard work. The fact that you can buy high end wins devalues the goals I'm setting out for. Does make me wonder if by the time I get up there whether there's any value attached to it in prestige. I left World of Warcraft a few years back as a result of P2W content. Maybe the fair priced genuine gaming experience is just a thing of the past?

This update with "Hero Pass" has been absolutely abysmal, and I honestly feel like just quitting RS3 because of this garbage. My old daily challenge would take 5 minutes and was worth the time for 3 keys and xp. Now its over an hour and not worth it in the least.

I just got into the game again after many years thanks to Ironman, it sucks to see this as a leveling player, since I'm at a point where I'm enjoying the game a LOT.

Tbh i think rs3 is a great game that is no longer worth playing i was maxed for years (re-maxed up to arch) but i slowly switched to osrs maxed on osrs recently now and for my it was the best thing i could of done. Realy a shame though since they they would chill with mta and such things rs3 would still be a great game. Rip all the thousends of hours i pourd in rs3

Would i have preferred dailies to be removed all together, yes.
Would i have liked them to wait till wednesday to finish of the week, yes.
So i would still say this update is a waste of time.

Worse then yaktrack or daily challenges also nerf out combat XP just too sell us xp buffs.. about done with the game after playing on and off for 15 years or more with consistent premier members the last 6

What's really sad, is that I'm on the iron man side of the game. My clan mates are all on the iron man side of the game as well. I bring up my frustrations with this update, and they all scream "your an iron man, it doesn't effect you!"

But it does... Nobody is aware that this update spells the downfall of a game if not reversed, you cannot give mobile game type buffs to players and expect long term that the game will be playable. And once main scape dies, iron scape follows suit because there is no money intake from that point forward.. It's sad to see such a disconnect.

heros pass is total dog shit. No other way to put it. Couldve added the cosmetics to the oddment store and kept the dailies the way they were.
