This is my response to the tragic “FSD” accident that just occurred in Texas. I don’t want anything to be misconstrued about how the current FSDBETA software is designed.

This is to help inform the public of the current functions of the FSD beta software.

I hope everyone is staying safe and I’ll upload a new video once a new build is released! ❤️

2018 Tesla Model 3 Dual Motor Performance w/Performance Upgrade Package
Software Version: TESLA FSD BETA v2021.4.11.1

That was really cool how it didn’t only stop but it actually pulled over so it wasn’t in the middle of the road

Damn, it looks like it even pulled over

To be fair, the same thing happens on autopilot. But you can buckle up the seat with no one in it and sit on top of it. The car doesn’t use the seat weight sensor and once you have autopilot set up and going, you can sit somewhere else. Obviously there’s the steering wheel sensor, but this has been defeated with weight devices. At this point though, if someone does that, they’re begging to get themselves killed.

It's so depressing seeing the media pounce on this and go crazy without providing any details or nuance. Thanks so much for this video!

Thank you for sharing this. Amazing to see how it pulls itself over

Can you show what happens when you’re not in the seat but the seatbelt is clipped?

What if you buckle the seat belt without being in the seat, then sit on top of the seat belt, then start FSD? Then go to the back seat? And/or put a weight on the seat if needed

This video is why I come to YouTube to get the “real news”

Is there a weight sensor in the seat too? Would help deter people from buckling the belt.

Thank you for doing that. If there is false reporting Tesla should sue for defamation.

Well done. Exactlly. When nobody is driving, the cars don't crash, they stop themselves. Perfect example!

Thanks for sharing. Also the car won't break the speed limit with FSD activated. The media is always spreading fake news

This is a thousand times more informative than every “news” report put together.

This video should be shown to CNBC, Bloomberg and Yahoo Finance...

Great demonstration of Beta FSD to response to the accident in Texas. Thanks!!!
This is inline with Elon’s response earlier which stated that the car did not purchase FSD upgrade

Hi Brandon. Can you buckle the seatbelt without the driver to let AP work? Is there also a weight detector in the seat?

Can you buckle the driver seat belt while the seat is empty and add weight to the to the seat to make it feel like someone’s sitting in it?

I hope Tesla understands that you are demonstrating a feature on their behalf and doesn’t punish you for taking your seatbelt off when reviewing the data
