One of the saddest jobs I ever worked was a dishwasher at Cracker Barrel. The kitchen was loud, people constantly shouted, dishes would pile up and up and often covered with layers of half-eaten food. The floor was covered in a half-inch of muck consisting of leftovers mixed with spillover dishwater. Management would only give me one shift per a week which wasn't enough to pay for my bills. We weren't allowed to listen to music. The job sucked the life out of me, especially since I was the creative type. But around the time I had the job, A Different Kind of Human was released. I couldn't listen to it while at work, but the song "Daydreamer" always stuck with me. It didn't matter how awful my job got, I could always daydream about beautiful worlds I could create in my head. The song has pushed me to continue pursuing my dreams of filmmaking and writing. I haven't gotten there yet, but I'm working on it.
