Chris, I have had a pair up from over a year now between 2 houses sharing a fiber gigabit connection they have not missed a beat. All I did was plug and played did no configuring at all. Works well with Unifi as a bridge between houses. pulled average speeds as y'all seen in your testing. Fixing to due a small RV park and going to use the newer APG60 3x3 with 1 CPE APG60 and 2 LHG 60 units for the Back hauls. Love Mikrotik and been using there products since 2005. Big UBNT fan as well.

Mikrotik support says these devices are rated IP55, so they should be fine in typical outdoor conditions (i.e. even heavy rain should be fine for the devices; 60GHz has rain fade problems, but with a strong "sunny day" RSSI, the link should stay up even in rain).

Love the videos when the whole crew interact! Keep them coming. As you said this will be a good emergency solution for downed links, especially those ptp in short distances and clear line of sight, it will be good to test them like Brandon said with trees or other obstacles and in crowded areas.

Cheers to you all! 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺

I installed a pair of these earlier this year to cross a public right of way for a client who had a building on each side of the road. They didn't really need the full duplex gigabit bandwidth that these provide, but at a price point comparable to Ubiquiti NanoBeams, and in spectrum where I'll never have to worry about interference on the link from WISPs or other 5 GHz users (nor will this link interfere with them), there was no better choice (IgniteNet MetroLinqs excepted, but those cost over five times as much).

Chris, Great video - do you know if this it is capable of doing an 802.1q trunk? it would be interesting to see if you can extend multiple vlans across it

4:24 - 60Ghz at point blank range impregnates Chris. Episode II - Mikrotik Alien bursts out of Chris's chest. Anyone have Sigourney Weaver's phone number? (Also your video description states up to 100Gbps - I think you meant 1Gbps). Good vid!

would love to see how this works for a longer distance, perhaps going through trees etc. Also what kind of output would be seen when pushed to the maximum distance and even beyond the 100 meters. I'm looking for options to provide wireless to an outbuilding on my farm.

hi ! good videos and great job !
but dont you think it's more interesting to make a fiber link over a distance of 100m ? fiber costs are now decreasing and we are more and more entering the 10gb (and more) era...

Do you recommend this over a Nanobeam M5-16 for a PTP from house to detached garage located 180ft from house?

Is there an Ubiquity solution as well? Perhaps not OOB ready, but similar?
