My first build was built less than 2 weeks ago, and yet I managed to make a budget baller PC!
R5 5600G (new, $150)
16 GB (2x8) DDR4 3600 MHz (new, “free” with CPU)
GTX 970 (used, free + profit after flipping eGPU enclosure bought used!)
$50 Asrock Steel Legend B550M WITH WIFI ANTENNA (used)
MSI A650BN 650W 80+ Bronze PSU ($55, new)
Deepcool CC360 ($55, new)
FS140 CPU cooler ($28, new)

$338 build!
Got a gas piston mount and 24” 1080p 100hz acer monitor for $60 used as well.
Adding all peripherals and tax, the total all-in cost sits just above $500. Amazing!

*I know the GTX 970 bottlenecks the CPU, but it’s fine. Plus, the PC has great upgrade paths, if I want to I could go for a $100 used GPU right now and be up to speed!

I have a gtx 1070 I got for free. Is it still good for modern gaming? 720p should be possible. I am thinking of pairing it with a ryzen 5 3rd Gen.
