The fact that you as a voter cannot even after authentication obtain a confirmation of the candidate your vote was cast for to me sounds incredibly fishy. I was informed that my vote was anonymous but that makes no sense when I am the one requesting confirmation

Here's a catch ... we live in Texas and because of immigrants, our population is now majority hispanic. Because most are NON - ENGLISH speaking, most of our college and young adult jobs are going to immigrants because employers need and/or want bilingual employees. So American children can't get jobs at gro stores, banks, lending institutions, fast food etc because employees must be bi-lingual. 😢 So our kids, Americans, can't get jobs!!!

By the way, my husband and I stopped into a new steak and seafood restaurant that just opened. To our surprise, not one person spoke English. Not one!! The menu was written in Spanish first with English under. It was very wierd to try and communicate.

We also have another little store and restaurant combo that caters to Mexican shoppers. Again, not one person speeks English and all pricing and signage is done in Spanish.

So much for not changing our culture.

There is NO excuse for not knowing the winner by midnight election night.
Florida does not have this problem, other states need to get it together.
Accepting mail-in ballots until 8pm is ridiculous, people will have had a month or more to get those in the mail, the deadline for those should be 8am, or at the very latest 12pm, not 8pm.
Poll workers will be busy enough without having to open and count thousands and thousands of last minute mail-in ballots that should have arrived days ago.
