Actually in Marvel comics Thor is the biological son of Odin the All-Father and the elder Earth goddess Gaea who in Marvel is the progenitrix of all the mythological pantheons of Earth. Thor is the step-son of Frigga wife of Odin and not biologically related to the goddess at all. This of course diverges from classical Germanic-Norse mythology just like Marvel makes Loki the adopted-son of Odin and adopted-brother of Thor instead of adopted-brother of Odin and adopted-uncle of Thor.
