Tricia Reade for Waitemata Local Board

Currently on the Waitemata Local Board, I work full-time in my portfolios of Community, the Creative Arts, Heritage and Planning. As a long-time resident and community active person, with a career in education spanning pre-school to tertiary, my strength is working collaboratively, finding innovative solutions to issues. I believe that decision-making should be driven by local boards, the voice of community, not by corporates or bureaucrats. Through great teamwork, leadership, good financial governance and by actively working with our diverse communities, I believe the City Vision team is making a significant difference to our neighbourhoods across the central city from Newmarket and Parnell to Westmere. I am totally dedicated to delivering on our planned projects and community-generated initiatives that support the Creative Arts and local events, protect our heritage and environment, and keep our communities vibrant and connected.
