Great heart warming story about drawing! I too discovered drawing only a few years ago by accident due to the many great works of art that you see on Youtube. So much so, that I started drawing with the Android app Paintology (free). Now I routinely make photo realistic drawings with this app. It's as you said, all about observational skills and a mastery of your tools and anyone can do it!

Thank you so much for your hard work and inspirational tutorials. I too am a late bloomer and at the age of 46 have only been drawing for 5 months. It's people like you that give me the motivation and inspiration to carry on when I think I'm too old, or not good enough. Well done!

Thank you, thank you. I've been drawing since I was young and still not as confident as you yet. You are helping me get there.

Your uTube videos really explain drawing photorealistically well. Love all of them. Gained heaps of tips. Keep producing more. Your story has definitely encouraged me!!!

I’m a late comer too. As a kid, I learned early on that my older sister was the “artist” in the family, and I shouldn’t bother trying. Honestly, I didn’t have the patience or ability to sit still (ADHD maybe?!). Anyway, I spent my life joking about how I couldn’t draw even stick figures. Then, a little while back, I came across a YouTube video and was like...”I wanna try”. I drew an eye. And was very impressed with myself. Then I drew adult hands holding a baby’s feet...and was like, “I can do this! ...with a bit more practice!” I’m still working on it, and still a bit ADHD, but I am slowly getting there. I’m hoping my stuff will get as good as yours eventually. Thanks for keeping us motivated.

This is SUPER VERY encouraging to me. I sometimes feel like giving up at times even though I have been drawing since I was six and I am fourty two now.

Yet another late bloomer among the many, please let me add my "THANK YOU SO MUCH!" for this video. I started drawing less than a month ago and chose a picture of someone that means the world to me. I find myself getting frustrated at myself after putting in hours. I never realized that people put days and even weeks into some of their drawing. Your video came at the perfect time, because I was just a few minutes away from trashing my drawing no matter how much I want to finish it. Thank you!

What a nice guy you are. So handsome too. And so young looking. Ok.Now ive got your attention have only discovered you and your instructional tutorials in the past few days.. I want to thank you for giving of your time and advice so selflessly. It is very kind of you and i appreciate you for that. As i can see many others do. Finally someone who goes slow and talks...and chews 😁 and is right there along side us guiding us along the way. I am a Mum from Melbourne Australia and i suffer from Leukaemia. Now i am unable to work i have been devoting my time to getting better at my drawing. Got the time thats for sure and with you i now have the encouragement and even more motivation. Because if rixcandoit i can do it 😃 and drawing is a great distraction from my struggles. Thank you again. Sincerely. Greetings from Oz 😚 and a kiss on the cheek too :)
