🥒 *ABOUT BEFRS:*
Hey, I’m Sonny! I’m from the US but I’ve been living in Asia for 10+ years and started making food and travel videos to document my experiences. I travel to different parts of the world, hunting down and documenting the most unique food each country has to offer.

See any factual food errors in my videos? Please feel free to politely let me know in the comments. I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly, MY POV. It is not meant to offend any person or culture. Peace!

This is the 'Best Ever Food Review' style I fell in love with years ago! This is raw, talented, amazing editing and storytelling, and most of all, taking risks in conflict areas to tell a food story ... Keep up the amazing work, Sonny! 👏👏👏

Wow I'm Southeast Asian from Singapore but Cambodian cuisine has always been very off the radar and unfamiliar to me. In fact I don't think there are any places in Singapore serving Cambodian cuisine despite how geographically close we are. Interesting to see that the food is actually quite unique, healthy and very very colourful with the use of flowers. This just made me want to visit for the food. Kuy teav / hu tieu is definitely a dish likely created by Teochew Chinese migrants in Cambodia though

Cambodia is easily one of the most amazing countries I've ever been. Such a tragic history which wasn't really all that long ago. People were so nice and it was the first place I got to experience Bioluminescent Plankton which i'll never ever forget. Got to try some of the best food I've ever had, but also some of the worst lol. Only complaint would've been the Cicadas, I swear they come with megaphones over there.

Man, I saw you made videos about Cambodia food in the past but I felt that’s not real Cambodia food. Now you come back with this episode, I can confirm that you are hitting a right spot ( real Khmer cuisine ). Congrats 🎉

I don't know how many people are aware of this but there currently is a somewhat online culture war going on between Thailand and Cambodia. They keep claiming that one stole some culture from another and I would like to use the opportunity of this video exploring Cambodian food (as a Thai person myself) to spread awareness and to say that I appreciate both Thai and Cambodian culture, each have their own unique food. I do not wish for the two countries to go to war over some cultural claiming.

SONNY! I love your show! I lived in Cambodia for years. It’s such a beautiful and underrated country imo. Please keep coming back and showing more about khmer food culture and history which is often overlooked!

Even if the Demand is so high given the mass tourism, Cambodia still have cheap but very delicious and traditoonal cuisines. This is what the Philippines to learn from Cambodia.

One of my favorite things about Sonny is his ability to make jokes every different people and cultures without ever disrespecting or insulting them.

Cambodian foods are underestimated and unappreciated enough from society. We have so much more to offer! Thank you to you and your team for putting together this heartwarming video. ❤

I use to go to this Cambodian restaurant that was 30 mins away from me in Vancouver, BC, Canada. For some reason, I always felt inclined to go all the way there despite the distance even though my family wanted KBBQ, Dimsum, Sushi, Italian food or a nice BC seafood. miss that place near Victoria and Nanaimo Dr.

Being from a place where myself and my brother are the only Cambodians around, this video excites me. Seeing other Cambodians is like seeing a rare pokemon.
