There are so many things wrong with the corporate world that simply infuriates me; why if someone is working hard and is competent should be deprived of a promotion because it was not in their nature to be overly social and making connections. Or that the next person who is more charming should get promoted ahead of them. Plus, if they don't see your value, move on. There shouldn't be games to play to get ahead. These are all so stressful; what if I genuinely don't like my higher up manager because I don't believe in their morals and ethics based on things I've seen from them.

I appreciate your valuable content.

I created a competency list (not quite a job description) for the previously non-existent role above me which is documented due to creating roles in my role/department for those I may supervise (because we needed to hire someone) and just adding the new position on.

I have good relationships with boss and his supervisor but do have a struggle mixing business focus and having a personal knowledge/conversations with them. Due to a merger my boss's supervisor is new to the role (but his experience well warrants his position). I already was involved with a committee with the new boss's supervisor before he changed positions in our company.

I am also working on a certification covering competencies which our company currently needs to contract for.

I am subscribe to your YouTube content and appreciate the work you put into it. Thank you.

My manager was actually sabotaging my career because of racial bias, with me being the only black senior staff, so I had to leave and build my managerial portfolio myself. I have been getting a number of interviews for other positions, but no other successful as yet. This company hoodwinked me with salary, so it is now very undesirable to continue working here.

You said a lot and nothing at the same time in this video. What a waste of time.
