Wisconsin governor Scott Walker recently signed “right to work” legislation in his state as part of his continued assault on labor unions. This is just the latest in the Republicans’ attempt to destroy Wisconsin.

America’s Lawyer, Mike Papantonio, recently spoke with Brendan Fischer from the Center for Media and Democracy about what’s happening.

funny how our state ( Wisconsin ) has the 2nd lowest unemployment, no debt and our roads and bridges are being rebuilt and maintained unlike majority of the nation and people keep complaining even tho there taxes dropped and there keeping more money in there pocket. Walker has done a damn good job reforming Wisconsin

He makes me ashamed to have been born in Wisconsin. Right to work means right to get fucked over by the owners of the business.

For reference. Union Membership per country 2000 (From Nationmaster website)
Sweden 82%
Finland 76%
Denmark 76%
Norway 57%
Belgium 53%
Ireland 45%
Austria 37%
Italy 35%
Canada 30%
United Kingdom 29%
Germany 26%
Netherlands 25%
Australia 25%
Group of 7 countries (G7) average 23.43%
Switzerland 22%
Japan 22%
New Zealand 22%
United States 13%
France 9%
Notice how countries with the most unions are generally also the most economically successful.
Add to that, countries like Germany may have relatively less union membership, but they have laws that mean 50% of votes in large companies are by workers in the company.
Organized workers do not vote to asset strip their places of employment for hedge fund CEO profits., workers do not vote to send their jobs or companies overseas.
Instead they demand better skills, new technology, safer and fairer working conditions.. and have vastly better economic and social outcomes overall.
Everyone needs to dump the Koch, Cato, Paulbot and ALEC fascist bankster junk.
Move left and green, build fighting unions & tax the uber-rich blisteringly hard instead.

Had organized labor developed a plan and strategy over the past 50 years and reached out to the public as allies they would not find themselves in this hole.  Unfortunately there is nothing that shows they have learned a thing.  Incompetent and mega egos....I watched it for 30 years as a staff member in public and private sector unions.

It's worse than the public being "dumbed" down. Sure the national IQ average has dropped. But the real issue is conditioning. We see on TV all the time FEAR FEAR FEAR FEAR buy my product FEAR FEAR. There are still plenty of the populace that can apply critical thinking to a problem, the next problem is complacency.... conditioning.

I guess he is a "passive-agressive" politician, and can have severe consequences for america and the world.
