Excellent. I'm 64 and you've helped me figure out the criteria for choosing what to do with the rest of my life. You've got a more effective system than most of the pro's. Best of luck, you will have an awesome life!

One thing for sure- you are wise beyond your years!

As I was listening to your presentation, I thought a lot about my current career path in the occupational therapy profession. When I first entered my program (and it's one of the top ones in the US), my goals simply were just to make it in the profession (pass all my required classes and clinical internships, pass my board exam, and an incident free career for 30-40 years). Then, during my first year in school, I entered a phase where I had a dream similar to "I want to be a billionaire." While it was a great dream to aspire to, I didn't think about how I would get there much.

However, everything changed when I was diagnosed with Asperger's in August 2010. As I was getting over my diagnosis, it made me re-assess my goals I set. Over time as I got to know my situation better, I also realize there are lots of new possibilities... but with only one catch (I must overcome my fears in public speaking and dive in). So, I worked crazily hard on my public speaking. I not only wanted to give myself opportunities to practice, but also be a student of the game in understanding what I am lacking and trying to incorporate some of the things I observed into my own public speaking skills.

Now I am proud to say I got 2 TEDx talks under my name. Also, I have been going to conferences in occupational therapy globally to share my knowledge and experiences. Lastly, I have become a online thought leader/influencer in my profession. For the last one, I recently expanded my professional connect efforts to going beyond the occupational therapy profession. Instead, I am going to be audaciously connect with people like you because I believe the public still needs a lot of understanding for what my profession does... and having fellow online thought leaders/influencers be aware can go a long way in advocacy efforts, especially with the ever-changing landscape in healthcare across the world.

I used this video to teach a lesson for my Study Skills class. My students gleaned so much from Ms. Cave. They understand that goals should not limit, but should work towards our dreams. As an activity, I had students to share their dreams. Following this share out time period, I challenged students to write a goal which will set the wheels in motion towards achieving the dream. Then, we discussed what to do after achieving the goal- set another. This was a very successful lesson and the students (grades 9-12) got so much out of it. Thank you Ms. Cave for your TedTalk.

Keiana, you are amazing. I’m so beyond honored that I’m attending the same university as you. We may not have had many in-person interactions, but just seeing the number of brilliant minds at the University of Michigan excites me every day. Fellow students like you amaze and inspire me every single day, and I’m so blessed to have you guy. You are wonderful, and keep up your spirit!

Hey, I really like your presentation. After watching your video, I realized that sticking to smart goal setting has blown me far away from my actual dream. I have never thought in that way. Thank you for the great speech.

Am I the only one who was mad that no one laughed at her joke in the intro? I'm glad they laughed at her hotdog joke at least... She made this so fun to listen to

This was truly inspirational. I will show my children, so that they have this knowledge now and not in their adulthood like me. Thank you sincerely for this.

What if your smart goals are set to get you to your dreams

I would like it if it wasn't flowing with memes from 2012

Other than that, very inspiring. It gives a different angle to look at, which I can appreciate.
Yeah I'm sorry I don't have that much to talk about

Way to casually ignore the millions people with crazy dreams who ended up bankrupting themselves on a dream

This is glorious, I have been researching "list of personal goals life" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Conoah Goalify Gotchie - (just google it ) ? Ive heard some pretty good things about it and my buddy got excellent results with it.
