Gale is not a jerk. Without him, Katniss family would have starved, also during the bombing of District 12, her family would have died if Gale didn't get them out. Gale saved Katniss on different occasions too as well as stood up in defense of a woman getting beaten by Commander Thread of the Peacekeepers. He was loyal to the cause even if he did have to make difficult decisions. He DEEPLY regretted that Prim died possibly due to his weapons he helped design. People only remember the bad he has done but forget all the good he did which far outweighed the bad. He would be my number one choice if I had to fight alongside someone.

After Sunrise on The Reaping I actually like Hamitch a lot more than the original, it adds more depth to his character 😭

I feel like Gale was less of a jerk in the movies.
Haymitch is AMAZINGG!! Prim was a little tooo sweet, but necessary for the story, same with Rue. the way Finnick and Katniss' relationship changes is very good, he starts out as a weirdo and later becomes a great friend. Katniss is maybe 9/10, she has her flaws like anyone. ah, but ifc ifc Peeta is a 1000/10 any day lol XD
