Decided to convert my Unifi UNVR-Pro into a NAS appliance with OpenMediaVault, since ive yet to see anyone else do this. It's still a work in progress.

Good timing for this! A bunch of details for a UNAS-Pro in the same chassis was just leaked, looks like you and Ubiquiti are on the same page!

Wow this is amazing. Using the non pro version myself and have another nas but just blown away about the work thats been put in. Good work man!

Nice. This would almost make me buy one as I need a nas and like the rack format and astetics matching..

So a diskless qnap with 6 bays is 800. The pro is only 500 with no disks. The qnap would still need a rack shelf and has only 2.5gb rj45. The pro is 2U with 10gb SFP+.

This looks really interesting! What sort of write/copy speeds do you manage to achieve?

Would you be able to run a Plex server off of this similarly to a Synology NAS?
brandonhowell
What is the throughput? Can you run plex on it?

I have a Unifi NVR, I would love to use Unraid or TrueNAS on it
saikpod
Does unify protect still run concurrently?
