I just ordered one of these earlier today along with a SRK-C 3V. I’m really looking forward to getting the Republic!
I listened to some guy say on a different video that Cold Steel moved from the boxes to blister packs…?
I purchased my first Cold Steel knife about a month ago, a SRK San Mai. After getting it I was happy enough with the product that I immediately purchased a Recon Tanto San Mai that I had been looking at initially with the SRK. I’m a new Cold Steel fan and really had no idea at 37 years old that Cold Steel existed until a month ago.
I like the Cold Steel boxes that the knives come in. I like the box end that has the knive’s model and specs. I like how easy it is to open initially and that it is something that is held onto and gives the knife a resting place to go back to when it’s someone else’s turn in the rotation. I like that the box looks premium. I like that the boxes stack on the shelf in my safe and look nice and clean.
Please don’t sell me a knife costing more than $25 in a blister pack. I won’t be as satisfied.
Don’t sell me a knife costing $75+ in a blister pack. I’ll return it.

You guys miss the nail every time the bush craft community want a knife under 100 with 1095 3/32 to 1/8 stock scandi ground no coating one the blade 90 degree spine. For the price of this knife. I can get a custom lt wright for 180 in 01. At 260 you're charging you're now looking at cpm3v from some of lt wright blade variety at the very least A2.

Do you understand how much that would sell? The niche market of edc fixed blades isnt so niche anymore. It has became quite popular.

I represent thousands of knife enthusiasts when I say this. Cold steel:.make a mini version with a kydex sheath, an ulti clip and S35VN, M4 or Magnacut. It will sell out time and time again, be very profitable for CS and bring more folks over to cold steel. This would definitely set a strong precedent in early 2024 and others would be falling by the wayside trying to keep up with something as bad ass as an EDC Republic

Gotta say a bit disappointed with Cold Steel as of late. Just got myself a black bear classic. Primary edge bevel was inconsistent and pretty dull. Scratches all over the hilts and blade as well as an extremely sharp sub hilt. Hopefully customer service takes care of me on this one.

Is it a full lifetime warrenty? It isnt even high carbon steel. Will cold steel fix a broke, chipped, or completely destroyed knife? If not i'll stick with the esee. Still find it hard to beleive its really american made. Every cold steel piece i have is either taiwanese or indian in make. S35vn, not in a fixed blade, no sir
