Samsung AU9000 Crystal UHD 4K TV Review - The Cheapest 120Hz and VRR Gaming TV

In 2021 Samsung has decided to bridge the gap between their Crystal UHD series 7&8 models and much more expensive QLED models with AU9000 series, which besides an excellent image processing also brings 120Hz refresh rate to a more affordable price bracket, as well as gaming features such as variable refresh rate (VRR), which makes this model a very interesting choice for big screen PC and console gaming.

Just bought one for gaming, the 43" is a perfect size for gaming on a desk! And it's the cheapest and best value TV you can get at this price point!

Finally, an actual review of this TV with hard numbers. It looks like it's not too different from the previous and current low end Samsung TVs. What I do want to know is the input lag outside game mode, is it the same as game motion plus at 32.1 ms or higher? I was thinking of gaming at 1080p with Samsung's decent upscaling to 4K.

I bought this tv 2 months back to pair with my Xbox series s and can confirm it does not have HDMI 2.1 but can run @ 120 hz but only in 1080p.

Warzone runs butter smooth @ 120hz and in all honesty it looks better on this tv @ 1080p 120hz than on my AOC 24” 24G2U monitor @1080p 120hz.

Once you’ve played at 120hz you won’t want to go back to 60.

Thanks for your review, I have this tv and my only complaint is the colour when watching soccer or golf etc as the green colour is bright and washed out, is there a something I can do to get the green colour looking more natural. Thanks

How would you recommend calibrating the HDR on this TV for Series X? When I follow the on-screen guide the chequerboard won't disappear until the white screens are at 7000tml. Should I set the tml figures to 350?
