Lacquer thinner can also be used to clean catalytic converters and fuel injectors in a car. 1 gal. to half tank of gas (10-12 gallons fuel). Whenever possible (can afford) oil based paints are largely the best paints overall available. Also, much better colors with oil based paints. With epoxy paints offering the best durability (outside only) but are a pain to use.
