I really appreciate your experimental approach. Let’s try this out and by trial and error we’ll learn some things. Super cool.

It never stops raining here so I don't think solar would be the best choice for me. A water wheel would probably be a better option, for me.
Good job, thsnks for the video's.

This gal has a lot of electric gadgets. When I go camping (even in my yard) I use solar energy stored up by trees to cook my food. 🔥
I appreciate the reviews though. I love the elder golden, they're sweet dogs. Thumbs up on this vid. 👍

That's a good video to let people know what they actually can run to see what it takes and how much to put it back in to the battery good job

Looks like you need some lightweight frames to tilt those panels to face the sun. Bonus: light debris like leaves might slide off.

I have the same battery and your right, the inverter was the selling point. My wife wanted to use a real hair dryer when using the camp shower and also have the option to use a induction stove/hotpot. We have two 100w panels that are always a pain to setup especially in the forest. But as a backup I got a small gas generator, this we take when we know there may be clouds or trees and worst case we can fire it up for 30min, get 400w into the battery, cook, dry hair and everything else during that time then shutdown and use the remaining battery for electric blanket on low setting.

Super helpful as I am just getting to use my Bluetti. You teach with calm, confidence, a bit of humor and clarity 👏

Love that you are taking your whole kitchen outside. Great video

Excellent vid. One of the best I've ever seen for portable power station real world useage vs solar panels vs duration and energy consumption. The numbers really helped too - great editing.

Nice experiment and video. One thing to check is the peak voltage from the panels, you can damage the charge controller if it goes too high. In cold temps the peak voltage actually goes up, so do the calc! You can also get more power of there is snow ( or other reflective) on the ground infront of panels.
Have 1700w off-grid in sunny/snowy Alberta.

This is a nice example of usage for commonly used tasks. Well done!

I knew that a grilled cheese sandwich is a quick caloric pick up but I had no idea that one equates to 60Watts of power! Your older dog is one lucky pooch!

Great video. Solar is tricky if the only energy source. But since you are trailing that means you can use a dc-dc charger from your vehicle alternator. This will up your batteries as you drive and solar when stationary. There are loads of good videos on that topic. For my sailboat I have solar and the dc-dc / alternator solution - 400 Ah 12V LiFePO4 batteries. Should be plenty for normal yet careful energy usage and yes induction is the cooking solution!

For your camper lighting system, water pump, Smartphone Charger, camera and Laptop charger and all the small appliances you should definitely use 12 Volt Output function of the blueetti, because it causes less power loss in converting small battery voltage up to 120V and then back down to your battery voltage :)

Great job at showing the realm of the possible with solar energy. Showing what can be done, results, and knowing some limitations is useful when first beginning to go solar. Thank you!

Time of the year really makes a difference. I try to utilize as much of my AC as I can. Try using more DC and equalize the two. Lithium batteries for lights and other DC accessories it make a huge difference. Save as much solar in the afternoon as you can, because when the sun is gone you done.

A really wonderful series of experiments! Thank you! And some comments below are correct about watt-hours unit of measuring energy
