Have experienced the difference of work of building developer ( relative decided to help us out for house renovation…which of course went badly & had to hire a proper architect to undo that work & get what we needed)… hiring an architect to do interiors is what I would advice everyone after our experience… entails lot of expense to undo & redo it.

I get your point that finding a good contractor is very important and getting the cheapest one will be a disaster. But how to hire a contractor? How can one know if a person will do good work and take responsibility?
