She was a remarkable, likable person whose main goal in life was to help those less fortunate than her. That is why her loss is being felt by so many.

She seems like one of the most down-to-earth people you will ever meet. So humbled and had a heart for humanity. May she rest in peace.

What a pleasure to see and hear pleasant, polite people in the White House giving an elegant dinner and evening of entertainment. Mr. and Mrs. Carter were such gracious, kind people. A great example to all Americans.

The late Rosalynn Carter will no doubt be kindly judged by history for the searing humanity, empathy, humility, intellect, and kindness that she let guide the long, exemplary life of steadfast public service she led with her husband. Though regrettably not one of the most widely known or celebrated First Ladies, I hope the new media attention briefly foisted on her character to commemorate this sad passing will enlighten more Americans, both young and old, about a truly remarkable person who was much, much more than just the wife of a U.S. president.

The memorial service was so beautiful. It hasn't felt like one America in a long time; it did today watching the service.
