Lemmo was gifted a 10k guitar from a fan and John Oates of Hall and Oates is doing Guitar of the Day, I would say that's a pretty insane day!

should do this more often, like inviting some guitar celebrities to host a episode of GOTH

The opening guitar on Sara Smile is absolutely sublime. It just goes to show that it’s not how fast or how many notes one plays that really matter, it’s the emotion and quality of the notes.

So cool watching John Oates showing off his ‘58 Strat! I think John is a FAR BETTER GUITARIST than he’s ever gotten credit for...Rock On, John!

Wow! Thanks John for sharing the music history of your 58' Strat! To think that "Rich Girl" and "Sara Smile" among so many dozens of other hits were composed, recorded and played live through this guitar, is really a treat! It's funny how perception is reality! All these year's I actually envisioned you playing a Telecaster! Lol! The color of your strat and your choice of "voicing"... had me fooled! 😄🎶 Thanks for the memories! I have all your albums!

One of the greatest musicians ever.. Underrated as hell.. So is Darrell Hall.. in the same upper echelon as steely Dan, Pink Floyd, Allan Holdsworth, Thanks Norm. And most of all thank you John for all the great music through the years.

His significant other must be
jealous with the way he strokes
the neck on that axe!!!! Bravo!!
Bravo Norm!! More vids like

This dude and his partner Daryl Hall were EVERYWHERE in the 80's. Radio, MTV, Live concerts, Television shows. One of the all time Great American Songwriting Duos.

Hall and Oates ability to use chords outside the major and minor scales was really interested me the more I listened to their music! John Is a outstanding guitar player!
