I'm a teacher in primary school and have used this a couple years now. With it I've shown and explained the universe, for some classes up to 3 hours (in chunks of 45 min) and they still didn't want the lessons to end. This program is so incredible! It has a great tutorial to learn a lot of hotkeys, so you can browse the universe smoothly without any interface getting in the way.
You can clearly show/experience:
-The size of our universe
-The relative size of the planets and the sun
-Our place in the universe
-Our solar system, based on the real photographs and data
-Lightspeed
-Different nebulae (from novae and starbirth)
-Black holes and it's bending effect on light
And way more.
Even after years, the program amazes me.

SpaceEngine is often incredibly moving and every few moments there will be something else jaw dropping and achingly beautiful - all while simultaneously being the most chill experience (and strangely centering for something of unimaginable scope!). One of the masterpieces of simulation.

Would have been perfect to add the fan made interstellar reconstition and so much more.
Still a plain and simple trailer for marketing and visibility purposes although anton petrov or Hugo lisoir compensate for using it in their content.
I've first discovered space engine with Se.980 when this legacy version (which I still have) were still accessible, just like the others, serving like a trial version.

I don't like how much of this is just the black holes. The ring systems are beautiful and so are the nebulae. Star clusters and galaxies are a great sight on the aliens skies. You've shown too little.

Ive been playing this since 2019, I have sooo many frickin hours in this game lol especially in VR, such a wonderful game, so relaxing and awesome to play.
