I bought a double wooden lazy susan thingy and it would get stuck like what was the point darnit it ruin my mood for sure so I went to ali express and ordered the plastic wool jeanie game changer spins perfectly 👌 so smooth BUT it would tip, not enough clearance for the yarn and it would clack when I got a going 😂 so hubby clamp it to the table but sometimes my yarn would get stuck on the clamp. ( back to square one) Then hubby melted some sort of metal on the bottom of the plastic to add weight for it not to tip over. Is my daily driver 😅 BUT don't work for larger skeens if yarn. Literally 20 min ago the double magnetic wood one arrived 😅!!!! Now I just need the magnets you kindly did research on, and I should be golden. Thank you so much 🎉

I wrapped the bottom with tape to stop the yarn wrapping around inner spindle. The first spinner you reviewed.

Hi Christa! Got one cuz of your program a few weeks ago! Got the magnetic one and I love it for small to medium size balls. Gigantic balls tip over so I am on the lookout for super large ones. Have now shared it with our knit and crochet group here in Sun City Roseville in California which has about 25 to 30 people. Several folks looked it up right away. This was a fun discovery. Thanks. Have fun today. Linda

Loved your video!! Will be looking out for N52 batteries that don’t cost $22.00. But I’ll find them and if I do I will link it. Your video was so great. I caked all my yarn and I hate putting it in a bowl on the floor - this looks like a great alternative!!!😊

Awesome video! I don’t like the non-magnetic ones because no matter how well they spin they still get stuck. I love my Wool Jeanie. I just wish they’d make a bigger one for bigger yarn. I don’t get the knocking from my Wool Jeanie. You’re Wool Jeanie isn’t a Wool Jeanie. It’s a great copy though.

Thank you so much for figuring out the yarn spinner dilema! I have been looking at them, and wanted to get one for my daughter and myself. That magnet strength was my concern, but you know how it is in the rabbit hole! It slipped my mind, but I’ve now ordered the spinners AND N52’s! You’re so smart! Thank you! Thank you! 🥰

About one month ago, I bought the single spinner, almost bought the double. Wish I did now. Thanks for your review. It helped me decide which one to buy next.

Krista, thanks so much for this review. I'm off to Ali Express to order N52 magnets! I especially appreciate your last comment about knowing which yarns require caking & which don't. I tried using a spindle on a 10 oz skein of LionBrand Ice Cream Big Scoop. BIG mistake 😢. As soon as I removed the paper band the yarn decided that it wants to look like one of those onion-shaped domes on top of Russian Cathedrals! I wish there were a way to send you a pic just so you could laugh as hard as I did 😂
And because now it's shorter than the spindle, it *does* get caught at the top as it spins around. My solution to that was to pull out several feet at a time & crochet as much as I could B4 pulling out more yarn. I ended up taking it off the spindle & spinning up a couple of cakes from the middle, then adding post-its to number them in usage order & remind me to pull from the OUTside & attach the inner center strand to the outside of the previous cake. Hopefully that will keep the color progression somewhat even, though it's not a true self-striping yarn.🤞🤞🤞 At least I'll be able to finish my project with a only modicum of unacceptable adjectives 😳. Thanks again for a most informative post. You're a star. 🌟💖
