Do you use trebles on your spinners, as that first trout went back badly bleeding, singles better although you might miss a few, less harmful

I used ghillie on loch maree for good number of years plus other places in Sutherland. I used to find if you put a spinning blade in front of the Toby if trolling you got a lot more sea trout . I had use trolling in the latter end of working the it was only way people would fish as most guests were going north to Loch hope up by Altnaharra where ghilled for a number years . I hope this help you as it did for me . Plus I used the same method in the sea as loch maree emptied into the sea from the river yew was at my door step .

Nice mate. Have u seen some of mine in the west coast. Mostly LLAIA permitted water but also a few other spots. The finnock can give you a fair old fight as well. We fly fish mostly. 2 seatrout at a time can be crazy.

Na, nothin better than night fly fishing on a river for sea trout .. used to get them at spey bay using sand eels but did a bit to much damage to em. But your right, find a fresh water stream that enters the sea and that's were you'll find em.

Looks like a brown trout we have here in Idaho. Sea run like a steelhead here. Interesting.

Great session! Like, you, I always look for a stream entering a bay, although so far it's only worked once for me🤣 although the few times I've tried for coastal sea trout I've been on fly.
you've probably got an edge with the lure, distance wise. Magical fish, I had one from a local river the other night, next vid!🤣 your channel is going to explode mate!!👍👍👍

Great wee video. I used to catch them on ABU Krill's but the wee super sprat seems to do well. Heading down the coast tomorrow for a wee shot. Have you tried at this time of year ? I used to find February quite good although there were always Kelts about. I return them anyway.

Nice one mate, another sub for you 👍 you not had any bass round there, ? There's a few in the estuary now, I know your doing well on the sprats but you should also add 1 or 2 of the savage gear isp seekers and the savage gear pencils, they sit higher in the water, keep them coming pal and tight lines 👍

Superb fishing and footage mate really enjoyable viewing, I've always fancied giving the sea trout a bash from the coast but found it a bit daunting in knowing areas to fish, would you normaly concentrate on sea lochs or the open coast or both ?

You can improve your hooking rate. There is a lot of fish out there, and they are willing to bite. In Denmark we use this technique: SPIN STOP. Spin normally (fast or slow) 5-8 rounds. Then you stop spinning for 3-5 seconds and let the lure fall through the water column. Then start retrieving again. Hold on to your rod. Bang. The seatrout smash the lure on the upstart from the drop. And in my opinion I have much better hooking rates with single hooks. Tight lines.

I would try flyfishing with a greased silver 2in mudler minnow, could make em take hard ?

Awesome video man, I’m in Gourock and looking for an LRF rod. What casting weight did you go for? 2-12 or the 4-17?

Great video! What line strength are you using? Furthermore, do you prefer braid or mono?

Do you ever get decent sized fish keepers? Or do you always release?
