I can't believe the "house is rockin" tease before "I want you to want me". I would've been heartbroken that it wasn't played

How About You goes down in the canon as one of the greats! Wow, the band is so tight and powerful here. Thank you!!

It was great to hear a live, energetic rendition of, "How About You"! Thanks Bun and everyone involved in sharing these gems with us!

It's Chippewa! I was at this show. The band rocked. They were tight and put on a great show. The recording sounds much better then the show did. The PA was pushed beyond it's limit and was loud and distorted for the entire set. Cheap Trick is one of those bands I grew up with. I still remember the first time I heard Live At Budokan! Awesome 8 track!

Mr. Bun, I really appreciate these posts! Standing on the Edge, Next Position Please, All Shook Up, Woke up with a Monster, are all fantastic albums and severely UNDERRATED!!!🏴‍☠️😎🖤

Back when bands weren't always on tour (Cheap Trick and Ramones being the exception) I loved the in between albums shows for it's uniqueness. But that's an interesting classification when The Doctor was less than a year old and album cycles were only growing longer.

I saw them on 7/4/87 at The Mansion outside of Springfield, Illinois playing this stuff… loved I Want Be Man! For an encore, Robin said “ say Rick! Would you like to play another song for these fine people?”
“ Fuckin’ Ayy, Robin!”
And then they played the lick it smell it suck it, etc. etc. song

You could release this as a live album as it is, it's that good.

This was the last tour with Jon Brandt. Possibly the last show was the Labor Day weekend at Davis Park in 87. Saw Milwaukee a few weeks before. You can find that show as a radio broadcast 93 QFM.

The great Rick Nielsen; the first vintage guitar collector/GAS sufferer 😉

The drums on this sound great. What kit is it? One your Ludwig custom orders? I recall around this you started on the red and orange sparkles.
