Jackson Heights is a neighborhood in the northwest Queens borough of New York City.
Jackson Heights is bordered by North Corona to the east, Elmhurst to the south, Woodside to the west, North Astoria - Ditmars - Steinway to the northwest, and North and Northeast Borders East Elmhurst. Jackson Heights has an ethnically diverse community, with half the population foreign born since the 2000s. The New York Times described Jackson Heights as "the most culturally diverse neighborhood in New York, if not the world.
According to the U.S. Census, the community has a population of 108,152.

Roosevelt Avenue and Greenpoint Avenue are major thoroughfares in the Queens and Brooklyn boroughs of New York City. Roosevelt Drive begins at 48th Street and Queens Boulevard in the Sunnyside neighborhood.
West of Queens Boulevard, the street, known as Greenpoint Avenue, continues through Sunnyside and Long Island City, crosses the Greenpoint Avenue Bridge into Brooklyn, and ends at WNYC Transmitter Park on the East River in the Greenpoint neighborhood. Roosevelt Drive runs through Woodside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Corona, Flushing Meadows-Corona Park - adjacent to Citi Field - and Flushing. In Flushing, Roosevelt Avenue ends at 156th Street and Northern Avenue.

Interstate 278 (I-278) is an auxiliary interstate highway in the states of New Jersey and New York, United States. The highway stretches 57.32 kilometers (35.62 miles) northeast from US 1/9 (US 1/9) in Lyndon, New Jersey to the Bruckner Interchange in the Bronx, New York.
Most of I-278 is in New York City, with portions serving as a loop and passing through all five boroughs. Staten Island Expressway (SIE) via Staten Island; Gowanus Expressway in south Brooklyn; Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE) through north Brooklyn and Queens; Central Parkway in Queens a small portion; and a portion of the Bronx Bruckner Expressway. I-278 also crosses several bridges, including Goethals, Verrazano-Narrows, Kosciuszko, and the Robert F. Kennedy Bridge.

The Kosciuszko Bridge is a cable stayed bridge over Newtown Creek in New York City connecting Greenpoint in Brooklyn with Maspeth in Queens. The bridge consists of two cable stayed bridges: the eastbound bridge opened in April 2017 and the westbound bridge opened in August 2019. An older bridge at the former site of the westbound cable stayed span, the truss bridge of the same name, was originally opened in 1939 and closed for demolition in 2017. The intersection is part of the Brooklyn Queens Expressway (BQE), which carries Interstate 278.
