There are many variants of battledroids used by the CIS, the Separtists of the Clone Wars. See how the Grand Army of the Republic had to use its Clone Troopers to take on the B1-A air battle droid, a droid based on the B1 Battle droid, and the B2-RP, a variant of the B2 Super Battle Droid.

I remember reading about the B1 having a melee variant only featured in Jedi Power Battles, there were also a few Trade Federation Maintenance Droids in the vent shafts of The Phantom Menace PS1 game

I’m pretty sure there was an energy shield built into its left arm, similar to the ones mandalorians used, that allowed it to block lightsaber strikes.

Funny thing about droids like these. There were going to be ones I think called D-wing droids in season 7 of the clone wars. With it coming back, we can see how droids like the air battle droid or the probably weaker D-wing operate.
