"As we start to rebuild this hillside will remain barren. A memorial to heroes fallen. They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten."

I cried at the end of Halo 3, due to this song.

Chief: "You know me." "When I make a promise."
Cortana: "You...keep it." "I do know how to pick em."
Chief: "Lucky me."

This interaction always gave me goosebumps

It's only one minute...

But every minute that I listen to this is an incredibly important, and incredibly well-spent minute.

so much nostalgia, makes me want to cry thinking of all the memories I've had with this game over the years. I miss Bungie.

I remember when I was younger on 360, around 9 or 10 years old, I had no Xbox live and never did before and I would just load up some halo 3 and go into multiplayer maps by myself as I only went to sunny and open maps as some of the darker, more deep maps left me feeling to scared to roam them alone. I was always expecting new things in the maps, only to wander in them and stare at the map thinking, “why is nobody here”, as I imagined what battles between Spartans and elites had happened in these maps prior to my spawn on the map. Then I left back to the menu to see the white recon and elite in the background and just gazed upon the beauty of the recon helmet thinking of how I could get it, not realizing I needed Xbox live, while listening to the all the different sound tracks of the menu. Each time repeating the song, only to feel more in a way, ”alone”.Then looking at the customization options, examining each piece of armor. Especially the Hayabusa armor, as it stood out to me as it did to everyone else, beating the interest of the recon helmet by miles. From there I would continue my journey to find something new in the game as I’ve done everything I could from what Halo 3 offered. Then like every other day, I would replay some campaign missions to be greeted by Cortana and the marines once again so I could get away from the isolation of the solo multiplayer maps.

I still remember that rainy afternoon from ten years ago when I first finished Halo 2 and this played at the credits. Not ashamed of saying that I almost cry...
Glad to see that they left this track untouched.

"On your way, Arbiter. I'll deal with these beasts!"

"I see that coward didn't join you."

"They ennobled all of us, and they shall not be forgotten."

"Things look different. Without the Prophets' lies clouding my vision."

I loved how this played near the end of Quarantine Zone when you hear the thunder just right before it starts playing. Lovely.

“I remember how this war started... what your kind did to mine. I can’t forgive you... but you have my thanks for standing by him ‘till the end.
Hard to believe he’s dead...”

This song will always make me emotional. I always think about how beautiful Space is and how sacred life must be throughout the Universe when I listen to this song.
